How-to: Sew a Button
You will need
Thread the needle, and tie the two ends into a knot.
Starting from the inside of the garment, sew some secure stitches on the spot where your button is going to go.
Thread the button onto the needle and hold in place. Stitch through each hole about four or five times for a shirt button and about six to eight times for a coat button.
Once your button feels secure, wrap the thread around the button a few times this will protect the stitches and help keep the button in place.
Tie the thread into a knot and snip the thread no shorter than 1cm.
